Teaching Philosophy
I believe the classroom is a community in which all members, students, teachers, and parents, must contribute in order to maintain a positive learning environment. In this learning community, all students are individuals who learn in their own unique ways. As a result, it is important to me to use multiple methods and modes of teaching to reach all students so that every student has the opportunity to reach their greatest potential.
Classroom community
Our learning community comes together each year to discuss, share, and reflect on our learning and celebrations. This culminating event and the sense of accomplishment that comes from it is seen in the eyes of our educators, students, and their parents.
Having students participate in think-pair-share arrangements and cooperative learning groups is one way to learn, share and celebrate diversity in the classroom.
